PGSF Announces Board of Directors for 2023-2024 Term

Matt Vertrees elected new PGSF Chair

November 13, 2023  (Pittsburgh, PA) The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF), a nonprofit organization working to build the future workforce of the graphic communications industry through educational scholarships and grant funds, is pleased to announce new appointments to the PGSF Board of Directors for 2023-2024 The 2023-2024 board consists of thirty-one members representing the diversity of the graphic communications industry, including IT, communications, equipment manufacturing, publishing, education, and finance, as well as trade associations and commercial printers.  A new Executive Committee was nominated and approved at the PGSF Board Meeting held October 19, 2023.   Matt Vertrees, Owner, Olympus Press, in Seattle, Washington was elected the new PGSF Chair for initial term ending 2025.  He replaces Jules Van Sant who is stepping back into the position of interim Vice Chair.   "I am honored to take the reins as the new Board Chair of PGSF and am committed to ushering in a new era of talent in the printing industry,” shared Vertrees. “Together, we will ignite the presses of possibility and empower the next generation of print professionals to make their mark on this dynamic field."  

The new PGSF Executive Committee:

Chair, for initial term ending 2025 - Matt Vertrees, Olympus Press Secretary, for initial term ending 2025 - McKenzie Munson, The John Roberts Company Treasurer, for initial term ending 2025 – Nick Gawreluk, Print Profit Vice Chair, for initial term ending Spring 2024 - Jules Van Sant, Bubble & Hatch New Board Member Jim Rosenthal with PDC Graphics was nominated and approved.
